Black Hurts

Distinction awarded project, Black Hurts, explores liminality and double consciousness amongst Black young adults in London. Black Hurts has been published in GUAP, Vigour Magazine, Mob Journal and will be exhibited alongside Rankin in April. https://www.suzannahgabriel.com The images within the project are a combination of digital photography prints, and mixed-media prints. The text on the images have been hand-embroidered on paper by Suzannah. The project was submitted as a combination of prints & an academic photo book (unreleased at present).
