Black Lives Matter Art

This illustration was inspired by a YouTube video called 'We Had The Talk With Our sons *Being Black In America*'. This image represents the loss of innocence in black children in preparing them for the world they will face. Having this conversation is sadly a rite of passage. The talk attempts to cloak children with social awareness to step into a world that sees them as a threat. I wish this rite of passage did not have to continue but with the racial violence in the summer of 2020 the talk is vital.
