Black Womahood

  • Salam Zaied

Culture is neither inherent to human nature, nor can it exist on its own. When understood as a social construct, culture is fluid. It transcends the methods of dress, music, moralities or language it embraces the entirety of human behaviours and the meaning ascribed to them. Culture is, therefore, accepting to phenomenon; it is inclusive and shapes the way people live their lives. This project is to highlight our cultures/where we come from but in a direction of working with other black women creatives. It also will highlight the different elements of what a black woman is/can be. Words by Tobi Ogunniyi - Creative Director and Stylist
