For my first international solo show, I created an immersive installation composed of 14 photographic prints all printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper and displayed on a line structure reminiscent of one of Lisbon's many signifying characteristics: the washing line. Within this collection, each photograph serves as a testament to the concept of connection—whether it's the bonds between individuals, the intricate interplay of a connecting train or flight, or the thread that weaves through life's diverse experiences. Over the course of the last two years, I have captured these moments, revealing them to the world for the very first time. Enhancing this visual journey, I introduced soft media sculptures that engaged in a captivating dialogue with the selected materials and objects. Additionally, the space in which the show was held was adorned with three meticulously crafted vases, fashioned from materials directly related to those seen in the photographic prints. As a poignant ode to love and connection, dried wildflowers, preserved with care, serve as a testament to the profound bond shared with my partner. In the world I presented, everything is interconnected, weaving a narrative that transcends boundaries. Within the body of work, I masterfully referenced elements of pop culture and cinematic aesthetics, all while seamlessly intertwining my profound love for nature and queer identity. Exhibition funded by Fingal Arts Council. Exhibited in Factory, Beato, Lisbon.
