Something about the atmosphere of a gallery that is so enticing, its like entering another world for a few hours, a world that is calm and unhurried, pure relaxation, a cocoon giving precious time to contemplate and ponder beauty in all its forms. Each artist’s view of beauty so different to the next, we are all so unique and different.
I love the hushed appreciative whispers as people critique the work mixed with echoey footsteps as we traverse the enormous cavernous gallerys.
There is something magical about a painting hung on an enormous whitewashed wall, the focus all on this piece, to then dark spherical sculptures casting shadows on the parquet floor.
Where digital is now so prevalent at every moment of every day in our modern lives, there is something special about treating yourself to a day out in one of London’s many galleries. Turning off your phone and giving yourself time to be inspired by art viewed in real life and real time, not broadcast over a screen.
