BLOOMFEST 2017: NAKED TRUTHS

  • Natalie Campbell

The inaugural BloomFest is a one-day conference that will tackle some of the biggest issues in our industry today. Ambition. Hierarchy. Sex. Ego. Money. Parenthood. Purpose. Integrity. Join us in a provocative series of discussions and workshops revealing the issues which really make our industry tick. Hear and say things you didn't think you could. And together tear down the barriers that stand in our way

We are pleased to announce that the following speakers are confirmed to speak at BloomFest on 2 November:
Faz Aftab, Online Commercial Director, ITV Kathryn Jacob OBE, CEO at Pearl & Dean Harriet Minter, Emma Sexton and Natalie Campbell of Badass Women's Hour Paul Frampton, CEO, Havas Media Group UK & Ireland Nicky Cochrane, Co-Founder & Co-CEO Digital Mums Sue Unerman, Chief Transformation Officer at MediaCom Amelia Torode, Founder at The Fawnbrake Collective Richard Bradford, Group Strategy Director at MEC & more!

Topics for discussion will include:
  • She & He: The truth behind getting ahead: Equal ambition yet unequal success. How can parental leave, part time work and the pay gap shift to equalise?
  • Breaking point: The flip side of a high-powered industry: Pulling back the curtains on the real psychic cost of adland. How can we create support systems to help build resilience? How can we bring integrity to work?

Training workshops will also be offered to all attendees on the day who will be able to choose from sessions on:
  • Climbing the leadership ladder
  • Projecting confidence, gravitas and presence
  • Defining your personal vision

Why should you attend?
We’re on a mission to solve barriers to women in their careers, and it’s only by talking about the challenges and constantly pushing for change that anything will ever happen. As an industry, we need to be honest about the issues, and Bloom intends to meet this head on with non-sugar-coated discussions, action orientating training and a confessional booth to capture the genuine problems women are facing.
Attendees will come away with genuinely actionable learnings and inspiration to help them achieve their career potential. You'll hear from people at the top of their game, but also relatable role models and voices outside of the industry. It's an opportunity to network with like-minded people and listen & learn from each others' experiences.
Bloom has aimed to make this conference as affordable as possible for all attendees, with a competitive ticket price compared to other industry conferences. Any profits raised will go to our charity partner, Women's Aid, who do hugely important work towards the end of domestic abuse of women and children.
