Blue Story Movie is a feature length film by Rapman and backed by Paramount Pictures & BBC films. It tells the tale of best friends Marco & Timmy who go to the same secondary school but live in Peckham & Lewisham respectively. The two wind up on rival sides of a never-ending South London postcode war after Marco is beaten up by Timmy's childhood friends. In the run up to the release of Blue Story movie, Paramount wanted to build as much momentum as possible so along with our other activations we decided to run competitions with a number of platforms to offer fans from the community an opportunity of a lifetime. The prize? Attend a luxurious world premiere in Mayfair with some of Britain's greatest celebrities & influencers. We worked with media platforms, radio stations and magazines to run competitions with their audiences in order to generate hype around the release and the premiere. Media partners included SBTV, Link Up TV, The Beat FM, Complex UK, GUAP Magazine and more. Each competition we ran was catered towards each partners audience. For example with SBTV a media platform dedicated to showcasing & discovering emerging talent, we put on a talent competition with their audience. Using hashtags #ThisIsOurStory the SBTV audience were encouraged to share their own personal stories through a freestyle rap or other methods. Video entries were judged by an SBTV panel who passed the winners to us. Other competitions ranged from questions live on radio all the way to simply tagging a friend on the post that you want to take with you.
