Body Language

  • Olivia Bossert

Sometimes all it takes is two words to inspire a whole series of images. Last week, I was lucky enough to attend a mentoring session with Zoe Whishaw. She was incredible, and gave me so much advice about my portfolio, my career, and much more. Whilst looking through my work, we discussed the need for me to set myself more personal creative briefs. It’s so easy these days to just spend time working on client work, or in my case, rush personal work. I don’t think Zoe meant to set me this project, but she kept using the example of “look for body language” in our session. I happened to be doing a bunch of test shoots the next day, and decided to use her words as the basis for my shoot. Two hours each, two looks each, I didn’t have much of a plan other than to watch them, observe them, and try something new, always with the idea of “body language” in my head. These are the results, and I love them. I hope you do too. Make up and hair by Georgina Yates
