BOMBAY SAPPHIRE - THE GRAND JOURNEY

The Grand Journey was an immersive dining and theatre experience that ran across Europe from Oct 2016 to Aug 2017. The experience was set onboard a train - The Laverstoke Express. Coalition supported Wasserman, the agency creating and delivering this exciting Experiential campaign, with creative and talent. We wrote, cast & directed the show. Creating a show that was consistent and worked across borders and cultures working with local talent in each region. The results were sensational as you can see below. The grand Journey has gone on to win many industry awards. After the success of The Grand Journey 1.0 we were tasked with creating a new immersive experience onboard The Laverstoke Express this time the focus was on the artistry of the food. Bombay Sapphire teamed up with Michelin starred chefs to bring an exquisite fine dining experience to guests. Coalition were tasked with writing a new script for actors to bring the journey to life. ​We set about re-writing the script of the journey of the 10 botanicals. We made changes making this less about the theatre and more focused on the food. We were also tasked with sourcing costume so had the opportunity to make this even more exquisite. Creating tailored costume with very subtle branding such as the printing of a Bombay Sapphire pattern on the waistcoat of the Train Guard, subtle and beautiful. Again, a very successful tour taking us to London, Madrid & Hamburg. One of our Grandest projects to date. Coalition supported our client Wasserman with Character Creation, Script Generation and Creating an immersive theatre experience that embodied the artistry that goes in to the creation of Bombay Sapphire. We had to create a show that worked across borders, cultures and various European languages that was also consistent, a challenge that we gladly accepted. We cast performers in Antwerp, Berlin, London, Madrid, Barcelona & Amsterdam. We created a consistent show featuring Actors, Musicians, Singers, Burlesque & Magic. The results were an award winning campaign with extraordinary results for Bombay Sapphire.
