The aim of this project was to redesign and promote a collection of seven books for the famous Japanese writer Haruki Murakami. I picked to design Murakami book covers because his stories touched me personally and every time I read his books I felt so much involved in what was happening inside the story.
The strategy for this project was to create outstanding, eye catching products, which would stand out in the competitive world of book selling. Even though many great graphic designers already have had created strong design concept for the books that I chose to redesign, I believe that my cover designs have they unique and very personal touch. This project gave me the opportunity to transfer each stories essence on to the cover via custom letters and I believe in a better way than it would result using digital fonts.
