A commission for a person who loves to read the Chalet School books. I quizzed her on her favourite moments to make a surprise illustration. Jo (the heroine of the Chalet School) has eight children and writes stories for a living, the conundrum of how she manages to do this whilst quite frequently being sent to bed by her husband (who is forever disappearing on doctor’s duties) is apparently of great amusement to all Chalet School Girl fans. On this occasion Jo fell into a packing box and got stuck for a few minutes, the trauma was enough to send her to bed for the rest of the day, but not before a good cup of “coffee??” and the all important “tablet.” Oh to live the fictional life!
