Bookshop Manager - The Society Club

Prior to this role I took on a temporary project as the bookshop manager at a bookshop/coffee shop/cocktail bar in Soho which is a curated bookshop dealing mostly in collectable, rare and cult books across all subjects. This role saw me promote the company online through online marketing and social media, improving the reactive relevancy and develop the ecommerciality of the company as well as the physical footfall and street awareness. Simultaneously I was regularly helping out on a volunteer basis at Treadwell’s the esoteric bookshop in Bloomsbury which involved readying the store and participating in book launches and lectures.

• Organizing all aspects of the bookshop
• Visual merchandising
• Devising and Implementing changes to the shop to attract awareness
• Creating an online presence.
• Intense research regarding collectability and pricing of rare and collectable books.
• Providing literary knowledge and material to an extensive membership scheme at the bookshop.
