After 20 yeas of organic growth the Borough Market visual identity had become confused and indistinct. We were invited to consolidate their offering and help them restructure their brand. We created 3 consumer pillars to define their offers around retail, education and community. With that in place, it enabled us to create a new colour system that would feed into all marketing communications. We reviewed the current visual identity and decided to go back to the original branding and celebrate their heritage by highlighting some hidden gems in their design catalogue. On-going, we supported on web design, signage, and marketing collateral and now work with Borough Market on a regular basis to deliver any number of regular design requirements from merchandise and illustration to banner and posters. The consumer pillar design, allowed the business to consolidate their thinking around sub-brands and we have also gone on to create micro-brands for each of these, like #feedthefrontline, Market Explorers, Friends Of, CookBook Club and more…
