Botanical Continent

  • Chloe Graham

My initial research stemmed from my love of vibrant colour - taking inspiration from botanics all around the world. I used photography as my main source of exploration into shape and colour and by translating this into collage and drawing I was able to play about with placement and proportion for my development of knits and digital print ideas. I have created a number of modern knit samples by using mercerised cotton and for my digital prints I used various silks to coincide and create a lively but elegant textile collection. I have also created a final fashion collection of 3 colourful and chic looks, inspired by designers such as Dries Van Noten and Tanya Taylor but my main influence for my project stemmed from Parisian Chic Street Style.
