Boys Behaving Proper BADLY! x Louis Vuitton

This project is a follow-on collection of ‘Boy’s Behaving Proper BADLY!’, my final collection, designing for Spring/Summer 2021, in collaboration with Louis Vuitton, for men typically between the ages pf 20-30. The project focuses on the ‘Madchester’ era of the 1980s and the hub that was the Manchester Hacienda. The style then possessed oversized qualities, baggy trousers that were dragging on the floor, band t shirts, bucket hats and layering of various light garments. This is something that is evident in the styling of the collection, the outfits can be layered but also worn in the height of summer. This is pushed through the light fabrics and summer colours aswell. The muse for the collection is Ian Brown, the face of ‘The Stone Roses’ who were subsequently the face of the Manchester Hacienda in the 80’s and possessed the style of clothing that has inspired the collection. The collection also highlights the formula one element which existed in my final collection concept however focuses more on the contemporary racing suit to inspire details like surface graphic print rather than badges etc.
