1st January 2020 Illustrated and written by Valentina Peshikaj In response to a brief entitled, 'London - A mash-up', our task was to communicate the identity of London today, by seeking and exploring modern history. As the brief was set on the 24th of September 2019, it was at the peak time British political uncertainty on the outcome of the United Kingdom leaving the UK. Brexit became a reoccurring problem affecting not only myself but of those of my peers in London. Following from this basis, I wanted to investigate the initial spark and effects that Brexit has had on the people of London. This publication investigated the statistical results of Brexit and creates an understanding of how major political MPs have a great influence on the working of our government.

Alexander Boris Johnson is a British serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since July 2019. Boris Johnson set out a new ultimatum moving away from his ‘Do or Die’ deadline of the 31st of October to now the 12th of December.

In recent events Jeremy Corbyntraded verbal blows in the nalprime minister’s questions before the general election. ‘The Gloves are off!’ was an expression used in the Metro to emphasis the ruthless competition that will begin.

THERESA MAY
Theresa May had announced and stepped down on the 7th of June 2019 after three years of turbulent, intense pressure to carry out Brexit, her premiership has ended. Following the immense pressure bestowed upon her arrival to 10 downing street, the illustration below is a snapshot her facial expression during her resignation speech. She admitted: “It is and will always remain a matte of deep regret to me that I have not been able to deliver Brexit”.

JEREMY CORBYN
Jeremy Bernard Corbyn is a British politi- cian serving as Leader of the Labour Party and Leader of the Opposition since 2015. Jeremy Corbyn has said he will back Boris Johnson’s offer of an election, under the guarantee that it takes a no-deal Brexit ‘off the table’. This phrase I have sampled off the London Metro on the 24th Oct 2019.
