Brickworks Student Accommodation

Brickworks is a Student Accommodation in Dublin operated by Fresh Student Living. Upcircle has been appointed by Invesco to design the communal areas. The site is located in a historical area where the community used to worked in a variety factories such as distilleries and textile production. Upcircle took inspiration on those architectures that had specific features such as cement floor, metallic features and structures, and big open spaces. The area is also well known for whiskey distilleries, that is an important historic fact about the development and the city, as an identity character. Another inspiration for this project was the name - Brickworks - and the architecture of the building, which defined the main colour and texture of the project - terracotta.
