Bringing Nature Into The Home

This project is based around repeated patterns and how through patterns and design, nature can be brought into the home. As recently many of us have been forced to stay indoors it has become even more vital to feel calm in your home. Bringing the outdoors in can really help relax the mind. Using Lino printing I created these different prints influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement. To the right are a few different products available in the prints. I wanted to show through the choice of products nature can be applied to many rooms within the house. There is also a website that shows how these products could be sold commercially.  I also designed a swatch book with all the patterns inside. These are printed on three different textures which offer the viewer an insight into what is on offer. and an identification book with pages on each individual plant featured within the collection of patterns, such as facts, poems, Latin names, and Botanical illustrations.
