Brunel Grad Show '23

A fresh take on the student-focused event of the Arts & Humanities department, the yearly Graduate Showcase. With a shorter, snappier and more familiar name — Grad Show —, the event's rebrand is meant to appeal to its intended young audience, and draw in a new wave of both artists willing to participate, as well as students interested in the university's arts. Because of this, the theme selected for 2023 is 'New Wave', symbolising a fresh start with the event finally taking place on a larger scale after the pandemic. To reflect its rebirth, I've chosen to bring its design an upgrade, with a more modern style and a warmer, yet vibrant colour palette, welcoming students to interact. This poster contains the first iteration of the collection's elements, with the yet-to-glow silhouette seen in the poster for Poet for Places climbing the wave and offering a piece of itself — its dreams, talents and aspirations — to the rising, promising sun.
