Burlington Gate Penthouse by David Collins Studio

Burlington Gate Penthouse, known as 'A Work Of Art' by David Collins Studio, was developed in the heart of Mayfair, a short step from London's well known Savile Row. I worked alongside the team at David Collins as the Senior Art Consultant. The experience of collaborating with Design Director, Georgina Wood and the team was fantastic and truly inspiring. From understanding the concept and narrative behind the project, I was responsible for researching and carefully curating a selection of pieces that not only had provenance but was also inspired by a myriad of international artists. Drawing from an eclectic array of galleries and artist studios local to the residence, I wanted to be sure that the collection reflected London's cosmopolitan influences. Not only did it need to complement the interior design with it's jewelled tones, bespoke furniture, carefully chosen shapes and textures, the collection needed to be sophisticated, spectacular and the definition of an interior working with art as a key influence to the story and statement of the project. From the work of Graham Muir, Omar Obaid, Frederikson Stallard and the wonderful Sun Ju Lee, the art and interior design is considered to be 'an absolute match made in heaven.’
