Everything can be improved with the right soundtrack, especially chocolate. Cadbury came to us in 2016 having worked with Mindlab and the London Contemporary Orchestra to discover how consumers interpreted the flavours of their nine 'Dairy Milk' bars through sound. This research was converted by the LCO into fully orchestrated tracks that enhanced the consumer's experience when enjoying the respective bars of chocolate.
First, we created a set of audio commercials specifically designed to direct users to a competition to win tickets to the launch of the ‘Sound of Flavourites’ with the LCO. The second phase was comprised of the commercials included here, which made use of the individual flavour enhancing pieces.
Three commercials were created. One which promoted the concept and directed listeners to the album of tracks and two more which showcased flavour examples before inviting users to play with an interactive soundboard.
We created audio commercials using the music created by the orchestra from Phase 1 that 'enhances' the flavour and taste of the bars each piece was created for.
