'Can you hear it?' started taking form from two main themes, music perception and synesthesia. I wanted to create a body of work that describes my personal experience with music and sounds in general. I grew up having a perfect pitch and synesthesia, which resulted in certain reactions from my body. By using special sensors, I've created a touch-sensitive installation. By touching the photograph, the sound system would be activated with a specific sound for each image. Because in general we are taught not to touch the artwork, I wanted to break that rule in order to see what the reactions from the public would be and also to offer them a unique experience.
