Google - Capture the Flag

I was comissioned by Google to design the UI for their official yearly security & hacking contest called 'Capture the Flag'. It’s a competition where people all over the world test their coding skills against a set of challenges. Hence the design had to fit into the culture of the audience.

Inspired from 80's hacking movies, computer history and other documentaries, I designed an immersive retro-style look to build a story and create a memorable experience around the event.

During the competition week, over 30,000 people engaged with the website and competed against other teams. The final round took place at Google’s headquarters in London.
