Cargo Classroom And Polaroidtapes Magazine Fashion Challenge 2021

POLAROIDTAPES and Cargo Classroom ( @cargomovement ) are partnering together for a sustainable fashion challenge, inviting creators to use visionary black leaders from the past as inspiration for their designs. In an attempt to address some of the imbalances and inequality in the current education system, Cargo Classroom celebrates the resilience and visionary leadership of black individuals, putting forward missing narratives from our past. POLAROIDTAPES, an independent platform for creativity and Cargo Classroom have partnered together to elevate this message through the lens of fashion. Across a 2 month period this summer, creators from all backgrounds will be invited to create and submit a sustainable fashion piece or design that is inspired by one of the four figures within Cargo Classroom’s Revolutionary series. Three winners will be selected at the end of the competition winning a cash prize of £1,000, £500 & £250 respectively.
