Casa X Exhibition

Casa X was a degree show project born from a group of students of the course Ba Culture Criticism and Curation, at Central Saint Martins. My work was called Hilos Continentales (2022) which means Continental Threads in Spanish. The piece weaves together my ancestral ties in Colombia and England. The piece is composed of textile transferred photographs on calico fabric, which are sewn together to create a tapestry of images. This work breathes life into my old family albums, creating a piece that's rough, organic, and reminiscent of the special collision between two distinct worlds and identities. The exhibition took place at the Mexican Arts Society in London from the 24th of March to the 2nd of April 2022.
