Karma Killer was the first album by the Finnish band Negative that I bought and listened to in full. While the album is amazing, it is also rather confusing - many songs don't connect with one another within any theme. To get deeper understanding of what was behind the music and the lyrics, I looked up old interviews with Jonne Aaron (founder and singer of the band). Eventually, after trying many alternatives, I settled on the sailing towards the better future. The motley feathers and checker board are intentionally unclear in their representation at first glance. But hopefully, upon listening to the whole album, the listener may agree that this redesign is not only memorable, but also compelling and complementing to the music.
