Cesar is a delicious dog food that is often only fed occasionally as a treat or an enjoyable addition to everyday, boring, dry dog food.
We wanted to attach Cesar to the special moments and meals that we have to make sure dog owners include their dogs in these moments.
Sunday is one of these special moments. So we wanted to make a film to celebrate Sundays spent with our dogs using real-life dogs and owners.
We wanted to capture real-life owners and dogs around the world spending their Sundays together.
We wanted filmmakers to deliver a narrative of one owner and their dog that spend their Sundays in less conventional ways – whether they were Trekkies at a Star Trek convention, surfing or paragliding together.
The dogs could be guide dogs, racing dogs or working dogs but we wanted the emphasis always to be fun/relaxing and on the relationship with the owner. We asked filmmakers to find an interesting dog-owner duo and capture the narrative of a Sunday they spend together.
The selected directors’ films were intercut with UGC footage shot in Open Studio to create a global ode to the real-life joy of sharing Sundays with our dogs all around the world.
