Graduate collection. LOOK BOOK Chacarilla | SS"14 My Graduate collection was inspired by the house I grew up in a placed called Chacarilla which is in Peru (my home country). It's vast and spacious architecture greatly influenced the silhouettes which saw the collection develope into something fresh, contemporary and feminine. I used the emotion of "missing home" to add nostalgic qualities interpreted by the use of transparencies, soft colours and textures. The tulle flowers represent the followers that used to fill the house and found on the elaborate wallpaper in the living room. The beaded embellishment nod to the little treasures I always found in my Grandmother's jewelry box. The digital prints feature rooms of the house which are a literal translation of what it used to look like before it was demolished. This collection is an abstract representation of my love and yearning for this house which played a huge role in my childhood.
