The Izu region of Shizuoka Prefecture has the earliest cherry blossoms in Japan called the Izu Toi Cherry Blossoms. The flowering period is from late January to early February. They are planted all over Toi Town, and the ``Izu Toi Cherry Blossom Row'' at Koibito Misaki is a popular spot for viewing and taking photos of cherry blossoms. There are two colors: dark pink and light pink, with dark pink being more common. Although the weather is still very cold, the Izu Toi cherry blossoms are blooming powerfully and beautifully, heralding the arrival of early spring.
