This wasn’t your ordinary office do. This year, all staff were taken on the seasonal holiday of a lifetime with a little help from ‘Tachyon Travel Limited’, a one stop time travel shop, which transported them from the 19th century right to the future!
On Thursday 3rd December 2015, staff arrived at Bankside Vaults, London. As Victorian police officers welcomed Edelman to the venue, they took their first step in time travel. These time travellers found themselves on a Dickensian street where a light mist, smells of pies, a real Christmas tree and mulled wine filled the air. Just as they were settling in, their snowy surroundings glitched. Travellers were warned they only had 60 seconds to prepare themselves to travel to another time…
Hidden curtains were drawn back to reveal a classic 90’s Office Party. Paper cups of bubbly were handed out and the dance floor was pumping with the hottest 90’s tracks, staff could even get up and sing along on the karaoke, whilst Santa welcomed everyone on to his knee for a photo. Silly hats, tinsel and photocopying your face, were all encouraged. Just as everyone was getting in to the swing of it, it was time to move on to another time destination…
Boiler suits were handed out along with space specs and travellers were told to immediately get changed. As they made their way through the LED time warp tunnel, Edelman staff were met with laser lights and a star lit future! Whilst the partying continued, Tachyon Travel Limited warned party goers to get on the ground: there had been a malfunction with the time shuttle, fireworks and a CO2 cannon filled the room… Edelman would have to spend another hour in the future before being sent back to 2015.
