Chrome and Black Graffiti School

  • Frankie Noller
This is a project I curated and brought together in 2018. Chrome and Black Graff School is designed to enable others to share and learn the positive and creative aspects of the culture in it’s purest form. During this 3 hour course pupils learn the step by step basics from the simple tag all the way through to a ‘master-piece’.
Pupils work on both paper and with spray-paint on walls during the session so that an understanding of each skill can be grasped in both mediums and converting a sketch into a piece. The session is accompanied with an in depth visual presentations where pupils will learn about the history of the culture, who some of the most revered artists were and the techniques they used to create their art. All levels of artistic ability are welcomed because Graffiti is art from the streets and does not discriminate.
From starting in April, this is one of my most successful projects to date with workshops running monthly at Chrome and Black. I took lead on all of the photography, videography and editing throughout the project to create content for the social media platforms that I manage for the company.
