Climate Designers: Sustainable Construction | Engaging with Carbon
Have you ever thought about the carbon footprint of your proposed designs? Or, perhaps, you are familiar with the concept of embodied carbon and life cycle analysis and don’t know where to start? Then this event is for you! Join us to find out more about the carbon crisis within the construction industry. We will engage with the greenhouse gas emission crisis, embodied carbon calculations and why it is important for architects and designers to shift to a more circular economy.

🎬 Introductions and a brief overview of the climatedesigners.org initiative
👩🏼💻 Main session: We will discuss and explain terminologies and methodologies that as designers we need to be adopting in order to take the appropriate design decisions to revert the situation.
Finally, after an initial engagement, we would demonstrate how different carbon tools could help us take the appropriate decisions when it comes to building a new project or retrofitting an existing one by using one of the carbon calculator tools recommended by RIBA from Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios.
