WHAT WE’RE AFTER:

We want to create a series of real life stories around those unsung heroes of the sports we love – horse racing, football, rugby, golf, F1, tennis etc. These stories are about those people who go the extra mile for their love for the game. Our creatives have given some examples, below.
We would like to see a short pitch about your unsung hero. Simply tell us who they are, what they do and why you think they’re an unsung hero. In your pitch you should include examples of your previous work and any references think would give the look and feel of the film you want to make.

***PLEASE NOTE THIS BRIEF HAS A QUICK TIMEFRAME. WE WOULD NEED TO RECEIVE YOUR PITCHES BY MIDNIGHT (IE 23:59) ON SUNDAY 10TH JUNE 2018.

CREATIVE DIRECTION:

Your film should be engaging and celebratory. It should be documentary but the style and approach is up to you.
Examples of heroes we’re looking for could be:
  • The groundsman at a non-league football team and how he/she takes care of the ground and prepares for a game,
  • The hedge-maker at Aintree for the Grand National ensuring the race’s exacting standards are met,
  • The kit man who washes (even irons!) the team’s kit himself,
  • The fan who travels Europe in a beaten up camper van and has never missed a race or game.
We’re celebrating the unsung heroes of the game who love their game/sport through thick and more often than not, thin.
