Influenced by the glitz and glamour associated with the 1920’s, including the Leonardo DiCaprio adaptation of the Great Gatsby, my current project ‘Cocktails’ embodies a collection of digital printed, embroidered and laser cut samples. The project will explore the subject matter of cocktails, looking specifically at cut glass, fruit and floral garnishes accompanied with elements of Art Deco architecture. I would like my project to convey a sense of maximalism, reflecting upon the subject matter. Thus marketed towards a high-end audience, ‘ready-to-wear’ women’s fashion market for Fall 2024, with the collection aiming to achieve a sophisticated and luxurious finish.
