"COLD" - Short Film

The story is based on the true story of Stanislav Petrov, the Soviet soldier who saved the world from nuclear war in 1983. Our telling of the story delves into Petrov's relationship with his wife, the struggles they're facing at home and how those struggles inform the decisions Petrov made on that fateful night of September 25/26th 1983 in preventing World War III. Petrov's wife, Raisa is seriously ill and with the weight of the world on his shoulders, Stanislav Petrov shows us that throughout it all love, courage, instinct and sacrifice lead you in the right direction. Raisa teaches Stanislav to let go of his fears and trust himself just as he trusts her. COLD is a dramatic retelling of the story that was most overlooked. Behind every hero is a life which gives them the courage to become that hero.
