World renowned British wallpaper and furnishings brand Cole & Son invited FormRoom to design, produce and install their annual showroom at Paris Deco-Off 2019. The showroom was designed to give the impression of a luxury boutique hotel.
Design
FormRoom designed a collection of traditional, grand hotel style furniture to sit within the space; a reception desk, luggage trolley and cocktail bar. The bespoke furniture was designed not only to accentuate the theme, but to provide useful display areas for pattern books and storage. It was also used to break up the space – with the reception desk at the back of the room to create a clear customer journey and vocal point for visitors.
To compliment this, we also reupholstered a selection of furniture to allow our team to layer the beautiful fabrics against the wallpaper collection, cleverly displayed on wall panelling. Breaking up the walls in this way allowed a selection of the wallpapers to work in harmony next to one another. We also used this style to create an impression of elevators on the back wall – installed to create small meeting rooms for private consultation.
Small details, such as flowers, traditional style glasses and elevator buttons all gave the final touches in creating an eclectic interior with a vintage vibe – perfectly showcasing the Cole & Sons range.
Manufacture
Stained dark oak wood furniture pieces with brushed gold metal detailing. Upholstered furniture and pieces to complete the space. Free standing partition wall with feature metal halo lit sign and illuminated elevator grates, dials and button pads.
We continued our partnership with Cole & Son, unveiling an Andalusian-inspired showroom to debut their ‘Seville’ collection at Paris Déco Off 2020.
