Coleman Records - Album artwork for KYLE

Kyle was diagnosed with ‘Classic Autism’ very early on in his life and, as he got older, through getting involved with music therapy a doorway of communication opened for him. I was commissioned by Coleman Records to design a 24 page digi book CD that would engage the listener and challenge the perceptions of what autism means to a wider audience. I tried to make the artwork a graphic representation of Kyle’s mind. The way the neuron graphics mix with the letters that pour down in a matrix style try to encapsulate the thought processes he goes through, and the colours throughout reflect the light and darkness of autism.
