Colönia - oPorto Internship Report

“Colönia - Report of Internship in Porto” is the conclusion work of the Master in Graphic Design and Editorial Projects of the Fine Arts Faculty of Porto and aims to document the Internship in Colönia, a Portuguese design and photography studio. All the theoretical and practical experience is presented for the accomplishment of the internship, from the search for the desired studio to the conclusion of the activities in the welcoming company, as well as the processes, learning, and questions about the universe that permeates it. The report also summarizes some parallels about the presence of women in current graphic design, expressing the difficulties, prejudices, challenges, and reflections of the past and the present that may contribute to a greater representation of the gender in the professional field. In a general aspect, the document aims to expose a particular view about the plurality of an experience not only dedicated to the practice of graphic and editorial design itself, but to the processes and considerations about different aspects that contributed to the accomplishment of the academic journey.
