Colossal Sauce
I was asked to design the logo, brand identity and packaging for an independent small-batch hot sauce manufacturer based in the town of Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. They provide a range of hot sauces and marinades based on chilli peppers and international cuisine flavour profiles. The goal of the company is to deliver a diverse range of flavourful products, emphasising quality over the currently accepted novelty brands of available sauces. Being based in the Vale of Glamorgan they also felt that a link to the town was apropriate and would help them stand out alongside the well-known brands.
I chose the character Atlas to reference the name of the company "Colossal Sauce", in both terms of size and the connection to ancient Greece and the titans. The classical qualities associated with ancient Greece again tightened the concept of a premium brand.
