CONFIGURED FORMS

  • Katie Wilson

'CONFIGURED FORMS' is a collection of samples and garments depicting natural movement, organic form and abstract structures. My concept derives from the mesmerising shapes of Loie Fuller, in comparison with the complex structure of shells. These sources of inspiration aim to highlight movement, illusion and sustainable practices through conceptual knitwear as abstract structures for the body. Created entirely from home on a domestic machine, these garments are made up of organic cotton, with the use of lycra and wire to manipulate the structural quality.
