COS AW22 Show, New York Fashion Week 2022

On September 13th, COS made its New York Fashion Week debut with its Autumn Winter 2022 collection. New York City’s iconic skyline set the backdrop for the show – a celebration of creativity, positivity, and imagination. Presented at the Starrett-Lehigh Building in Manhattan on a terrace 15 floors above the city’s bustling streets, the runway, sheathed in reflective material, mirrored the distinctive neighbouring architecture. The dynamic energy of the surroundings, mood-boosting colours, and movement created an uplifting and empowering atmosphere which was shared globally through a livestream. COS partnered with Bureau Betak, the first significant agency worldwide specialising in the fashion luxury sector to receive ISO 20121 certification for sustainable event management, to produce an event that put sustainability at the forefront of its set concept. The props / materials utilised were either rented or donated, finding a new life. COS is also worked in partnership with sustainability consulting firm Honeycomb Strategies (certified B corporation and certified WBENC), to seek ways to reduce the environmental impact of the AW22 New York Fashion Week debut and all surrounding activations – putting in place solutions to offset any emissions created.
