Dermot Kennedy is arguably one of the most popular, sought after artist of the 2020's and when I was introduced to the idea that he was going to be covering Metallica's Nothing Else Matters, I was intrigued. I had did the original painting seen below in 2020 during a period of intense sadness, but wanted to give it some new life and incorporate it within a conceptual single cover for this beautiful rendition of the original song. Minimal in approach, like Dermot's version of the song - featuring a beautifully toned piano and somewhat haunting background vocals.
