cover/discover

Collection “covered/discovered” created during looking for beauty in an old building renovation process and concept of deconstruction. The inspiration was hidden elements without which architectural objects could not exist and its unexpected hidden beauty. Visual inspiration was technical documentation of reconstruction, considered as images and forms, but not as the technical details.
Garments with prints were made from the technical laminate, this choice was dictated by the properties of this textile, because it allows to get stiff form and illusion of blocks. Prints were made using sublimation printing and laminate allows to obtain high-quality printing. Other fabrics were chosen to complement properties of the laminate through its texture and weight, so wool, knitwear, jersey, gabardine and mesh were used. The color scheme was determined by the colors in pictures used as the prints, the colors of the fabrics highlight the colors of the garments made from laminate.
