The new Crafts Council website unified the many activities
and audiences of the organisation into one simple accessible user experience. I lead this project as part of the team at Bureau for Visual Affairs who were the digital partner to Pentagram who designed the Crafts Council's visual identity.
Accesibility and clear navigation were crucial aspects of the brief resulting in typically small functional elements such as the breadcrumb and tags being transformed into oversized features.
The layout doesn't use a typical column based system, instead a fixed nav/spine on the left archors a ragged flowing design were elemnts have a consistent height and variable widths.
