THE PLAN
CreativeCMS is a brand new content management system that needed a brand identity and single page website to house and promote its exciting features. The initial outset was to craft the brand identity from the projects owners Kevin and Nick’s vision, we started our research phase by sourcing competitor logos and compiling a mood board of brand values, emotion and feeling. This helps feedback the likes, dislikes and solidifies the brand as a whole. From the research three logo concepts were created and polished, each with a typeset, colour palette and image treatment. These were received by Richard and the team with great feedback and only needed a bit of fine tuning. The final CreativeCMS logo was chosen and we were excited to begin the website. We were given a detailed brief with content and a mock-up structure of website flow. Kuro Kin took the brief content and started with simple wireframes mocked up in Sketch App to help determine the websites flow and content structure, these were quickly agreed and the team could get into Photoshop to deliver the colourful perfected visuals.Once the visuals were signed off these needed to be built in flat html 5 and css 3 responsively so that the CreativeCMS team could integrate this with their own system.
WHAT WE MADE
From the outset we played an important part in crafting the brand identity and website experience. The brand is creative and playful translating into the website with bold defined areas of colour and typography.

HOW WE MADE IT BETTER
We had great feedback along the way from Richard, Nick and Kevin. The guys helped us shape and push the brand to where it is now crafting a brilliant web experience.
WHAT WE LEARNED
Working remotely across emails and phone calls was made simple by using the CreativeCMS’s teams Basecamp. This helped track the projects progress with simple to do lists that the team could contribute too. Great tool.
