The idea of this project was to get people to think about and engage the viewer to think about what is going on in the world around them and not just ignore it. I used the crisis in Syria as an example for this because it is in my opinion the main current issue at the time.
I created a code using the software Processing that has the same characteristics as an older computer virus, the more you try to click off the pop-ups the more that appear on the screen. I thought this would be good as an installation so it would engage people for its aesthetic but leave a lasting approach with its content.
This project could be used for many different topics by changing the pop-ups in files I could create to fit an entirely different theme, internet safety for example.
