Cultology - 'A feature film about two friends who create their own cult in order to meet their TV hero'
Charlie Carter and Rory Miller are two twenty-something guys who, when they aren’t working in their dead end jobs, spend their time watching Jennifer Zimmerman documentaries and getting stoned. When they discover that Zimmerman, their TV hero is returning to the UK to make a series about cults, they decide to make it their mission to meet him. After a failed attempt to meet Zimmerman the two wasters get drunk and create their own cult online. Unexpectedly the cult rapidly gains followers and Rory and Charlie find themselves in a very powerful position.
Cultology, a comedy film, is the first feature-length script I have written. The poster featured here is one that I created in order to give readers an idea of how I imagined the cast, setting and tone of the movie to be if it were to ever make it to production.
While there are no current plans to put Cultology into production, it is certainly an idea I am open to. Nevertheless, like many Hollywood dreams, the fate of Cultology depends on finding the right people to bring my vision to life and of course ascertaining the neccessary funding.
