Dark Skies

An exploration of a Filipino Urban Legend story surrounding the Romblon Triangle. Aiming to depict the dark atmosphere of the place through landscape illustrations, where many disasters have happened due to the natural phenomenon such as high tides and heavy typhoons as believed by the Philippine Coast Guards. There have been many tragedies around the Romblon Triangle and some of them are The Battle of Sibuyan Sea, The Aderter Tragedy during the 1950s, The M/S Don Juan Tragedy and many more. Both ‘Beyond’ paintings were part of my Final Major Project.
