Dating These Days – Bumble

Bumble, the women-first social networking app, has today launched a new campaign highlighting the challenges and intersectional considerations of dating. The series, called “Dating These Days”, features unfiltered conversations on the topics of dating and fetishisation, bias, modern masculinity and intimacy. Dating has drastically changed in 2020. Whether it’s the important conversations about race and equality in relationships, or the realities of having safe sex post-lockdown, the way we are connecting to each other has never been more important. With the easing of lockdown rules, people are excited to start dating again but Bumble found that 1 in 3 people* are still nervous about meeting dates in person due to the lack of understanding in what is acceptable and safe in the new world of dating. In order to help people navigate the conversations, Bumble has launched a mini-series starring Radio 1 DJ and presenter Clara Amfo, singer Sinead Harnett, and people who use Bumble speaking to friends and family about their lived experiences and perspectives. ‘Dating These Days’ was produced in collaboration with Mr President and will run for four weeks with a new 3 minute episode every Wednesday on @bumble_uk.
