Daughter of Nomads

Daughter of Nomads was inspired by the burden of unrealistic expectations weighing down Kazakh women’s fate. Throughout the years, women in the Kazakh society have played an outstanding role by undertaking an array of responsibilities.The aim of this collection was to embrace the societal history of Kazakh women’s role through a series of digitally printed and 3D manipulated samples and accessories for a high end fashion application. Inspired by the traditional household objects associated with women, my designs demonstrate a vibrant use of colour and a bold sense of scale.
